Vanessa Davidson

My ocean life started with the National Sea Rescue Institute where I was a volunteer crew member at Bakoven and Hout Bay and one of the first female rescue swimmers in the 1990s. I worked on luxury charter boats in the Caribbean, Seychelles and Mallorca before returning to South Africa and joining the Whisper Boat Building Academy for the Deaf. This led to opportunities running a Marine Industry Association and Export Council. Networking and solution seeking is my passion and I am currently one of the Founding Directors of Blue Cape a Special Purpose Vehicle supported by the City of Cape Town and the V&A Waterfront.
